The HDP1100 Roll to Dynamic Folding to Saddle Stitching Digital Line is a fully automated inline solution designed for efficient variable-data and “Book-of-One” booklet production. The line begins with the HDP UW1100 Unwinder, which provides stable continuous-web feeding to the HDP SPF1100 Single Plowfolder for precise longitudinal creasing and pre-perforation. The HDP CD520 Dynamic Cutter then reads barcode data to perform variable-length cross-cutting and automatically reject setup waste without interrupting production. Cut sheets are transferred directly to the HDP DFU660 Dynamic Folder, which changes folding sequences on the fly to accommodate different page counts and tail signatures without manual adjustment. The folded sections pass through a Telescopic Conveyor to the HDP200 Digital Collating Feeder, where they are accurately collated and delivered in sequence to the HDP SS4500 Digital Saddle Stitcher. By preparing variable folded sections upstream, the system significantly reduces the number of individual sheets requiring downstream handling, improves collating efficiency and supports continuous saddle-stitching production. The result is a streamlined roll-to-finished-booklet workflow capable of producing saddle-stitched products with varying page counts and formats in a single automated process.
