Hybrid Digital and Conventional Finishing

HDP Hybrid Finishing connects digital printing with both digital and conventional binding processes. Through the Roll-to-Dynamic-Folding workflow, digitally printed rolls are unwound, slit, cut and dynamically folded into correctly ordered signatures with variable page counts. These signatures can be transferred directly to conventional perfect binding, thread sewing or case-binding equipment through a fully inline connection, or delivered by stacking, transport and nearline handling. They can also be connected to HDP digital saddle stitching, perfect binding, thread sewing and case-binding systems. This modular approach allows printers to retain existing finishing assets while adding flexible, automated digital production capability.
